Public procurement is regulated in the UK and therefore it is vital that those involved with purchasing activities within public sector bodies, ensure that the purchasing of goods, works and services, is carried out within the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (PCRs).
The overarching principle, is that contracting authorities must meet their contractual requirements for goods, works and services by means of a transparent, advertised contract award process. Bidders must be treated equally and without discrimination.
