David de Wet

Managing Director

David is the founder and Managing Director of EcoVate. He is MCIPS and PRINCE2 qualified, and an experienced public sector Procurement Consultant with over 19 years’ experience. He led the LPP Estates and Facilities Category until 2012 and has subsequently been leading on large scale and complex commercial and procurement projects in the NHS. David has built a reputation for being a high-quality leader with a depth of professional skills, built on a framework of holistic project management and business operations. He has a track record of successfully delivering all aspects of his assignments, having a unique ability to quickly evaluate, prioritise, and address underperforming services and to then devise and implement strategic recovery plans. His key areas of expertise include NHS health management, public sector procurement, business turnaround and strategy, and project financing, development and planning.

Jenny kervarrec

Managing Partner - Operations

Jenny is a Managing Partner at EcoVate. She oversees the operational function and requirements of the company, as well as manages various special projects. She has a passion for driving and optimising the company’s operations and operating capabilities. Jenny’s track record shows that she believes in delivering with excellence. As a dynamic procurement practitioner with advanced problem-solving skills, she also manages special projects that benefit from her procurement experience and knowledge. Jenny is PRINCE2 qualified and has over 16 years’ experience in public procurement, business management and project management, including more than 6 years specifically within the NHS environment. She is highly organised, has strong attention to detail and is committed to ensuring the highest quality standards.

Denise Phelan

Managing Partner, Consulting & Skills Development

Denise is a Managing Partner overseeing Consulting & Skills Development at EcoVate and she forms part of the Executive Team. Denise has 22+ years’ experience in Healthcare Support Services with a special focus on public procurement, strategic sourcing and commerciality in the NHS. Denise has her MCIPS Chartered status and is a highly experienced procurement professional with a proven background in managing and delivering successful, complex procurements. Denise has a strong grounding in IT and Procurement consultancy at Deloitte and has demonstrated her procurement skill set within both the public and private sectors. Denise’s specialty is Non-Clinical Procurement, covering a broad range of Corporate categories such as Estates & Facilities, Workforce, Professional Services, IT, and Finance, as well as commissioning of healthcare services. Denise has a reputation for ensuring compliance to the various Contracts Regulations balanced with achieving the best commercial and contractual outcomes for clients. She is an effective project manager when required and excels at stakeholder management, ensuring a collaborative approach to procurement and project delivery within multidisciplinary teams. She has strong attention to detail, is highly organised and in her spare time is pursuing a Masters in International Public Procurement Law and Policy

Samm Parker

Managing Partner - Procurement & Consulting

Samm is a Managing Partner at EcoVate. He oversees the Procurement and Consultancy arm of the company. Samm is a dynamic procurement and contract specialist with over 21 years’ comprehensive experience and a proven track record of delivering complex, politically sensitive, and strategic procurement programmes. He is MCIPS and PRINCE2 qualified, as well as commercially astute, highly motivated, with strong problem-solving skills, a proven ability to strike deals, forge and build relationships and negotiate with senior stakeholders. Samm has in-depth knowledge of UK procurement directives with applied first-hand experience of managing and delivering high value challenging UK procurements. Enthusiastic and highly motivated, he relishes a challenge and enjoys being pushed outside of his comfort zone.

John Magnier

Senior Advisor, Consulting

John is a Senior Advisor at EcoVate and forms part of our Executive Team. John has a track record of over 35 years’ of delivering projects, cost savings, effective contract/supplier relationship management and leadership in the public and private sectors. John is an experienced and focused healthcare procurement professional who consistently delivers against targets, guiding clients through the many challenges that face UK organisations. He is a highly capable and commercially astute member of EcoVate with strong knowledge of EU and UK procurement legislation and activities. His knowledge covers development of strategy, through to tender, negotiation, award, contract negotiation, mobilisation and governance, consolidating service lines to improve delivery and cost, and developing key performance indicators and service levels.

Danielle Gunning

Executive Assistant

Danni is the Executive Assistant at EcoVate. With a degree in Accounting Sciences with over 15 years of experience in accounting, administrative and operational roles, she brings a wealth of expertise to the position. She provides personalised and timely administrative support to the Executive Team, that allows them to effectively manage and direct the company. Danni fulfils an administrative and operational role by ensuring various decision makers have the necessary information they need by producing reports, tracking workflows and updating the relevant platforms. Danni also provides support to HR, drafts contracts for new projects, and is responsible for compliance reporting to various frameworks. In addition to her assistant tasks of managing calendars and providing financial management assistance, she handles numerous other organisational responsibilities.

Pam de Wet

Accounts

Pam is the Accounts Administrator for EcoVate. Her responsibilities include reviewing and reconciling accounts, processing payments to external partners and maintaining updated records of invoices and receipts. She ensures that all financial transactions are processed accurately and on time.

Thalia Southgate

HR and Skills Development Manager

Thalia in her role, looks after the people management function of the Client Services Team and in her role is ensuring sound human resources practices within the organisation. She has a love for seeing people flourish in the workplace and in her role manages the employee lifecycle, which includes recruitment, performance management, training and employee relations. EcoVate is committed to ensuring that our employees are engaged, have meaningful work and have opportunities to grow and develop in their careers and therefore this role is key to ensuring that this is done intentionally. Having gained valuable experience working on procurement projects prior to stepping into her current role, Thalia is able to use her procurement knowledge along with her human resources expertise, to advise with insight.

Fabien Kervarrec

Head of Engineering

Fabien is the Head of Engineering at EcoVate, bringing over 20 years of experience in software engineering. He has a proven track record of building large-scale systems and driving technical direction for major organisations. Fabien holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science.

As one of the co-founders of Dotted Line, EcoVate’s Software as a Service (SaaS) platform, Fabien leverages his extensive expertise to design and develop features that enhance the management of procurement processes in the public sector. Fabien’s vision and technical leadership have been instrumental in integrating cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence technologies into Dotted Line. He is passionate about automating complex tasks and providing insightful analytics to users. Under his guidance, Dotted Line is evolving into a robust platform that supports organisations in making data-driven decisions, improving collaboration, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. 

LUKE Ross

Principal Engineer

Luke is a Principal Engineer at EcoVate. He brings over 11 years of experience in software engineering, consistently demonstrating excellence in architecting, leading teams, and implementing complex, large-scale technology solutions. Luke holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Computer Science, enriched with a strong mathematical and statistical foundation, which underpins his analytical and problem-solving abilities.

As a co-founder of Dotted Line, EcoVate’s Software as a Service (SaaS) platform, Luke has been driving technological advancements and delivering cutting-edge solutions that meet the evolving needs of clients. His dedication to leveraging Artificial Intelligence and automation has not only streamlined processes but also enhanced the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the software solutions provided by EcoVate.

Martin Gibson

Consultant

Martin is a Senior Consultant for EcoVate. He has more than 20 years’ procurement experience within both the public and private sectors. Martin is a dynamic procurement specialist with a proven track record of negotiation, category management, supplier relationship management and a stakeholder focussed attitude. He is commercially astute, highly motivated, conscientious, with strong problem-solving ability, proven ability to strike deals, forge and build relationships and negotiate with senior stakeholders and suppliers. He is MCIPS qualified and has in-depth knowledge of UK procurement directives with applied first-hand experience of managing and delivering high value challenging UK procurements.

Dr Nick Ray

Energy and Projects Director / Senior Associate

Nick is a Senior Associate with EcoVate. He is MBA-qualified and a procurement and contract specialist with over 20 years’ experience working with the NHS and public sector, with particularly specialism in energy and carbon reduction projects. Nick founded the energy services company (ESCO), Cynergin, and grew and steered it to acquisition in 2016 before joining EcoVate in 2020. His expertise includes detailed knowledge and direct practical experience of the NHS procurement and financial processes. Nick has an extensive track record of developing and delivering capital intensive performance-related energy retrofit and carbon reduction projects, including many NHS Trusts and the Natural History Museum.

Nicky Hay

Senior Consultant

Nicky is a Senior Consultant at EcoVate. With over 20 years’ experience in project management and public procurement in the UK, Nicky has a passion for procurement and ensuring projects are delivered compliantly against agreed deadlines with the best possible outcome and value for money for the client. With in-depth knowledge of UK procurement regulations, Nicky often leads on mentorship and training initiatives to build internal capacity for our clients towards ensuring their procurement departments run procurements compliantly and efficiently. She has a good understanding of clients’ requirements and undertakes the first line of quality checking and assurance. Nicky is an experienced PRINCE 2 Practitioner and has strong planning, problem-solving, facilitation, communication, management and business development skills.

Michelle Hodgkiss

Consultant

Michelle, a Consultant has overall responsibility for the planning, initiation, execution, closure and reporting of various procurement projects, while remaining aligned to the strategy, commitments and goals of our clients. Michelle has gained valuable experience in managing a range of projects including complex competitive procedures for Integrated Care Boards and NHS Trusts. She also has extensive experience and expertise in managing capital procurement projects, including hospital redevelopments and the simultaneous appointments of complete design teams, as well as the procurement2pay process and putting in place processes to ensure adherence to Trusts’ Standing Financial Instructions (SFIs).

 

Michelle holds a PRINCE2 Practitioner certification and has over 14 years’ experience. She contributes to the improvement of practices, templates and policies of EcoVate’s clients ensuring compliance and effective management of our client’s internal procurement functions. She maintains excellent working relationships and has strong organising, planning, and problem-solving skills allowing her to effectively manage multiple projects.

Sarah Campbell

Consultant

Sarah is a consultant with extensive experience in public sector procurement. She is skilled in establishing strategic structures within complex projects and demonstrates strong client relationship management skills, strategic consulting abilities, and a keen focus on delivering cost savings.

With over 14 years of experience, Sarah has successfully managed the project delivery of a portfolio of multiple procurement projects spanning various clients. Sarah has worked with senior stakeholders across Integrated Care Boards and NHS Trusts, providing essential support in health service procurements and NHP Programmes. She is adept at integrating processes across stakeholder groups within an organisation to ensure collaboration and efficient project execution. Sarah has gained valuable experience in navigating procurement regulations to lead projects throughout their lifecycle from planning, to initiation, to implementation, to completion, and reporting.

Sarah excels in prioritising and managing multiple projects simultaneously, leveraging her strong administrative, organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills. She establishes strategic project structures, builds strong client relationships, and provides strategic consulting to achieve optimal outcomes.

Mari Keet

Consultant

Mari is a Consultant in the EcoVate Procurement PMO. She ensures successful project delivery for various complex procurements and other projects with multiple clients, which include full implementation from planning, initiation and mobilisation to completion and reporting, while remaining aligned with the strategy, commitments and goals of EcoVate and our clients. She has strong skills in project management, contract management, organising, planning, problem solving, and attention to detail. She has advanced communication skills and effectively manages client relations.

Anri Elsbury

Consultant

Anri is an experienced procurement and project management professional with over 21 years procurement experience. She holds a PRINCE2 Practitioner certification and has a strong background in business management and administration. Her expertise includes managing end-to-end tender processes, project planning, implementation and maintaining solid relationships with stakeholders. Anri also has strong organising, planning, and problem-solving skills allowing her to effectively prioritise and manage multiple projects at the same time.

 

As a Consultant at EcoVate Group, Anri has overall responsibility for delivering a Specialist Consultancy service on various projects across EcoVate’s portfolio of clients by providing expertise, advice, consultancy and project delivery according to EcoVate’s recommendations and approach. 

 

Anri manages the comprehensive support provided to various clients by EcoVate Group. She delegates support requests to the appropriate team members, and provides procurement expertise and ensures projects adhere to the agreed timelines, PCR regulations, and Trust policies.

Bianca de Kock

Independent Consultant

Bianca is an Independent Consultant working as a Junior Consultant. She ensures the successful delivery of various procurement projects, overseeing full implementation from planning and initiation to completion and reporting, all while aligning with the strategies, commitments, and goals of EcoVate and our clients. A proactive, hands-on, and dynamic professional, Bianca has extensive project management experience across diverse industries. She also brings over 12 years of expertise in procurement, operations, marketing, new business development, customer service, and hotel management.

Brian de Wet

Junior Consultant

Brian is a seasoned professional with over 13 years of experience in business development, project management, and administration. Currently serving as a Junior Consultant in the Client Services Team, Brian plays a crucial role in executing procurement related administrative tasks essential for successful project implementation. He collaborates closely with Consultants and Procurement Leads, supporting the various project lifecycles of tenders and conducting market research for various procurement processes.

Brian is known for his creative and dynamic problem-solving skills, strong planning and organisational capabilities, and excellent communication skills. 

He consistently demonstrates a proactive approach, aiming to exceed project goals while ensuring our clients and internal stakeholders receive exceptional service and results. Brian’s extensive experience and skills make him invaluable to our team, particularly in strategic planning, project management and problem-solving roles.

Divan van Zyl

Junior Consultant

Divan is a Procurement Manager in the Procurement PMO. He is responsible for the successful planning, design, initiation, execution, monitoring and closure of various procurement projects while remaining aligned with our client’s strategies, commitments and goals. He is a proactive, hands-on, and dynamic professional with extensive project management experience acquired in highly competitive markets. In addition to his project management experience, Divan has over 12 years of experience in public procurement, account management, customer service, operations, marketing, business development and event production.

Eloise Böning

Junior Consultant

Eloise serves as a Junior Consultant in our esteemed Client Services Team. She plays a key role in providing procurement administrative and project management support required for the successful management of a portfolio of projects that span multiple clients. Eloise works in collaboration with Consultants, Senior Procurement Leads to ensure the successful implementation of projects. Her skills in planning, management, organisation, problem-solving, meeting deadlines and attention to detail are invaluable. Eloise’s dedication has been crucial to our ongoing success in delivering exceptional service to our clients.

Heather Palvie

Junior Consultant

Heather is a Junior Consultant in the Procurement PMO, playing a vital role in ensuring the department runs smoothly. With over 20 years of experience in operations and business administration, she excels in organisation, problem solving and maintaining composure in demanding situations.

 

Heather collaborates with senior consultants, associates and stakeholders to support across variety of projects. She has a solid understanding of the Atamis portal, including portal navigation, project management, contract and data record maintenance, as well as templates and reporting. Her extensive experience, has provided insights into system functionalities, enabling her to offer customised support to clients with various data uploads, training and mentoring, enhancing procurement processes and providing critical support to both clients and internal staff.

Kiah Bouwer

Junior Consultant

Kiah ensures the successful delivery of various procurement projects across multiple NHS Trusts, overseeing the entire project lifecycle from planning and initiation to completion and reporting. She remains aligned with the strategic goals, commitments, and objectives of EcoVate and its clients throughout. Kiah brings valuable expertise in supporting the procurement-to-pay process for Trusts, ensuring strict adherence to Standing Financial Instructions (SFIs). With a background in marketing, she has over 4 years of experience in public procurement, project management, and coordination. Her strengths include keen attention to detail, critical thinking, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Russell Chirau

Junior Consultant

Russell is a versatile Junior Consultant who plays a pivotal role in providing procurement support on a diverse portfolio of projects across multiple clients. With nearly five years of experience in project management, Russell methodically navigates the complexities of procurement processes, contributing to seamless and successful project implementation.

 

Having worked on various kinds of procurements spanning IT, Construction and Works, and Language services, Russell is proficient in navigating the different phases of the procurement process and various e-sourcing portals. Russell is known for his collaborative approach and strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. His effective engagement with stakeholders consistently drives project success and highlights his dedication to excellence in procurement projects. 

Sarah-Lee Swanepoel

Junior Consultant

Sarah-Lee is a Procurement Officer in the Procurement PMO. She plays a key role in the successful implementation of various capital and procurement projects and in engaging with key stakeholders. Sarah-Lee has over 5 years’ experience in the areas of public procurement, business administration, project management, and co-ordination. Sarah-Lee’s areas of expertise include project coordination, putting in place systems and procedures, and developing innovative tools to manage complex projects. Her results-driven and problem-solving skillset can be applied to managing multiple administrative projects and priorities effectively at the same time.

Sanlia Botha

Sanlia Botha serves as a Junior Consultant  within our esteemed Client Services Team. With more than ten years experience in procurement, project-, and account management, Sanlia is highly effective in successfully undertaking the administrative complexities required to manage a diverse portfolio of projects across multiple clients. In her role, Sanlia collaborates closely with others, ensuring the flawless execution of each project. Junior Consultant

Chen is a Procurement Manager in the Procurement PMO. She ensures successful project delivery for various procurement projects with multiple clients, which include full implementation from planning and initiation to completion and reporting, while remaining aligned with the strategy, commitments, and goals of EcoVate and our clients. She is a proactive, hands-on, and dynamic professional with extensive project management experience acquired in highly competitive markets. Chen has over 12 years’ experience in Environmental Management and Sustainability, and she managed large-scale projects for public and private sectors. Her skills include working well under pressure, detail-oriented, problem-solving and being able to think critically.

Nicole Schuin

Junior Consultant

As a Junior Consultant specialising in public procurement, Nicole brings a fresh perspective and  commitment to excellence to every project. With a solid foundation in procurement principles and a keen eye for detail, she supports the organisation in navigating the complexities of public sector purchasing.

Nicole has successfully contributed to various procurement projects, ensuring timely and efficient delivery for our clients. Her analytical skills and understanding of  procurement best practice, enables her to provide valuable insights and recommendations.

Dedicated to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest developments in public procurement, Nicole’s goal is to help organisations achieve efficient, transparent, and fair procurement practices.

Katy Quinn

Independent Consultant

Katy is an Independent Consultant, who is responsible for ensuring successful project delivery for various procurement projects with multiple clients. Her responsibilities encompass full implementation from planning and initiation to completion and reporting, consistently aligned with the strategy, commitments, and goals of both EcoVate and our clients. With client-facing experience, having previously worked with a number of NHS Trusts, Katy understands the demands of the industry well. She prioritises clear communication and meticulous attention to detail in her projects, striving to exceed client expectations. Katy brings over 8 years of experience, spanning public procurement, project management and events management.

Jacquelyn De Oliveira Neto

Junior Consultant

Jacquelyn is a Procurement Manager in the Procurement PMO. She ensures successful project delivery for various procurement projects with multiple clients, which includes full implementation from planning and initiation to completion and reporting while remaining aligned with the strategy, commitments, and goals of EcoVate and our clients. Jacqui has client-facing experience working in person with a number of NHS Trusts and relates to the demands and nature of the industry. She prioritises a high level of communication and attention to detail on projects, and works hard to deliver beyond expectations for our clients. Jacquelyn has over 10 years’ experience including public and private procurement, project management and Compliance Management within a regulatory environment.
